The Future Now Workshop

The Future Now Workshop explores future thinking and foresight as practical tools for understanding uncertainty, imagining alternative futures, and translating long-term visions into action. The workshop combines non-formal education methods with participatory foresight approaches, including interactive input sessions, group work, scenario development, and a backcasting-based educational game. The workshop provides a learning space where participants could explore how different futures emerge, how uncertainty can be navigated, and how young people can actively influence future developments in their communities.

Key activities of the event include an introduction to foresight concepts and methods, group creation of three contrasting future scenarios for Bulgaria (positive, negative, surprising), and development of community-focused action ideas supported using backcasting method.
