Discover the FYI Manual and Games

Thinking about the future doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. That’s why the FYI team has been working hard on a brand-new Foresight Toolkit that makes the idea of future thinking accessible, playful, and useful for young people and youth workers.

The FYI Manual and interactive training materials are now ready and will soon be available in multiple languages!

What can you expect? The FYI Manual offers a clear and practical introduction to foresight methods tailored to non-formal education. Inside, you’ll find:

  • Easy-to-follow explanations of tools like Horizon Scanning, Scenario Building, and Future Wheels

  • Ideas for workshops and group activities

  • Tips on how to create inclusive, engaging, and future-focused learning environments

  • Guidance for youth workers who want to explore foresight in their daily work

We’ve also created interactive exercises using Flippity, so you can learn by doing. Whether it’s matching trends with future impacts or exploring your personal connection to change, these games make future thinking more fun, relatable, and easy to try out in youth settings.

Who is it for?Youth workers, trainers, and young people aged 16–30 who want to explore what’s coming and how to face it with confidence and creativity.

By making foresight simple and engaging, we hope to strengthen young people’s resilience and help them feel more prepared in a rapidly changing world.

The full set of materials will be available soon! Stay tuned to our channels for updates!
