Greetings from the Kick-off meeting in MCC Celje, Slovenia!
The world is changing fast, from climate change to technology and social shifts, uncertainty has become part of daily life. That’s why we’ve launched FYI – For Youth Information, a new Erasmus+ project designed to help young people and youth workers build resilience and develop the tools to think ahead and act with confidence.
The goal is simple: we want to support young people to better understand what the future might bring, and to feel empowered to shape it. By using foresight methods, we can explore possible futures and prepare for the challenges, and opportunities ahead.
The project started with a Кick off meeting in Celje, Slovenia, on 22 October 2024, where partners from five countries (Slovenia, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Estonia) came together to plan the next two years. We discussed our shared vision, agreed on our approach, and began developing activities that will reach youth workers and young people across Europe.
What will we do?
Create a youth-friendly foresight toolkit
Offer training for youth workers to use foresight in their daily work
Run workshops where young people will imagine future scenarios and learn how to respond to change
Build an online space where people can exchange ideas and experiences
Collect insights to support better youth policies
At its heart, FYI is about helping young people feel more prepared, more involved and more connected. We believe that by learning to think about the future in new ways, young people can gain the clarity, confidence and skills they need to move forward — even in uncertain times.
